Note For Parents

Welcome parents!

This site is designed for my grade 3 & 4 writing class.

If you are a parent of my student, you are in the right place. Read the assigned post with your child, provide a journal and pencil, then set your child free. Allow him/her to write freely without any corrections or guidance from you. You may, however, encourage your child with ideas and your own enthusiasm. Remind your child to bring his/her journal to class the next morning.

If you are an eager parent from any part of the world, you are – by all means –  welcome to use this site. This will make an excellent supplementary  writing exercise for your child.

Remember, the purpose of this site is to incite enthusiasm for writing. No knitted eyebrows or heavy sighs. Just joy and celebration for each story or poem written. You may also write your own story or poem – that will certainly ignite more enthusiasm from your child.

Stay tuned for my new blog to be aired soon. It will be a blog filled with tips for parents to help your child succeed in school. I will attach a link here when it is ready to be launched.

Meanwhile, check out the article  Encouraging Children to Write During the Summer.  You may use the suggestions all throughout the year.
