Puppies beside me
Puppies chewing slippers
Puppies chasing butterflies
Puppies fetching balls
Puppies licking my face
I like PUPPIES!
- Choose something you like.
- Write : I like ________
- Think of 4 different kinds – adjectives are best!
- Think of 4 places where it could be – use prepositions.
- What can it be doing? Think of 4 things.
- End your poem with the first line: I like ________!
Notes:
- How did I start each line?
- How did I end it?
- Sometimes, each line had only two words. Did you notice that? Sometimes, a line had 4 words.
- Poems are not written like paragraphs or “normal” sentences (ending with periods). they don’t ramble on throughout the line. They stop often, even without a period.
